License - more than one machine - What choices do I have?

Fold license is per machine. If you want to have it on two or more machines you'll need the appropriate number of licenses. We have additional discounts in that case.

I want to use Fold on a different machine?

We have license transfer cycle in that case. First you need to uninstall Fold using the "Uninstall" button in Fold's "Activation info" window. Then send us message at our support and we'll pick it from there.

After Effects Crashes when I press the Register button (Windows)

AE Sweets' products on Windows depend on the wmic executable. Newer versions of Windows - especially Windows 11 and later - no longer include it by default. You have two options to add wmic and resolve the crash:

• Option 1: Install WMIC as a Feature On Demand (Official Method)

  1. Open Windows Settings - System - Optional Features.
  2. Click View features.
  3. Click See available features.
  4. Search for 'wmic', mark its checkbox and press the Install button.
  5. The installation might take a wile.
  6. Restart AE.

• Option 2: Install AE Sweets' WMIC shim version:

  In case the original wmic is not available, we've build a lightweight shim that mimics the behavior of the original executable for the purpose of activating AE Sweets' products. It cannot replace the original wmic, but it works for the activation.
  1. Download the wmic archive from Download shim wmic
  2. Extract the downloaded archive.
  3. Copy the extracted wmic.exe to '[AE Installation Folder]/Support Files/'. This step is required for every version of AE you use.
  4. Restart AE.

Important: any changes from the original wmic to the shim version (or vice versa) after the activation took place will require you to contact our support and request a license reset.
